Supported Video Export Formats and Resolutions
The video formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios supported when exporting from Video Studio.
Supported formats
Video Studio exports to MP4 (H.264) by default, with ProRes and WebM available as export options for teams needing alternate formats for broadcast or web-specific delivery.
Supported resolutions
Standard exports support 1080p and 4K. 4K export is available on Growth and Enterprise plans; Startup plans export at up to 1080p.
Supported aspect ratios
Video Studio generates 16:9 (landscape, for YouTube and web), 9:16 (vertical, for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts), and 1:1 (square, for feed posts) from the same underlying project, without needing to rebuild the video for each platform.
Caption formats
Captions can be burned into the video or exported separately as SRT or VTT files for platforms with native caption support, such as YouTube and LinkedIn.
Troubleshooting export issues
If an export fails or produces an error, check Project Status for a specific error message. Common causes include an avatar segment still processing, or a connected data source becoming temporarily unavailable during generation.
